Abstract

The expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational contexts has generated significant discussions regarding its potential to promote more inclusive, personalized, and responsive teaching practices. In classrooms increasingly marked by diversity, particularly concerning students with different learning profiles, neurodevelopmental disorders, and specific educational needs, AI emerges as a resource capable of supporting pedagogical mediation, adapting educational materials, personalizing activities, and expanding access to knowledge. This article aims to analyze the contributions of Artificial Intelligence to inclusive education, discussing its possibilities, challenges, and ethical implications within educational settings. The study adopts a qualitative approach and is based on a narrative literature review involving research on Artificial Intelligence, inclusive education, educational technologies, and teacher mediation. The findings suggest that AI can contribute to more accessible and responsive educational practices, fostering autonomy, engagement, and participation among students. However, the results also highlight the importance of teacher supervision, critical training, and ethical awareness regarding the use of such technologies. It is concluded that Artificial Intelligence has the potential to strengthen inclusive educational processes when employed as a support tool for pedagogical action, without replacing human mediation, empathy, and the educational relationships that constitute the foundation of inclusive education.
