Abstract

The increasing integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational contexts has expanded discussions regarding inclusion, pedagogical innovation, and personalized learning. At the same time, the strengthening of inclusive education policies has highlighted the need for strategies capable of addressing the diversity present in contemporary classrooms, particularly concerning atypical students. In this context, AI emerges as a promising tool to support more flexible, accessible, and individualized pedagogical practices. This article aims to reflect on the contributions of Artificial Intelligence to the learning processes of atypical students, analyzing its potentialities, limitations, and implications for teaching practice. Methodologically, this study adopts a qualitative bibliographic approach, drawing on research related to inclusive education, neurodiversity, digital technologies, pedagogical innovation, and Artificial Intelligence in education. The discussion indicates that AI can contribute to personalized learning, expand opportunities for participation, and strengthen inclusive processes, provided that its use remains associated with teacher mediation and ethical principles guided by equity and social justice. It is concluded that technology alone cannot guarantee inclusion, but it can become an important resource for supporting more accessible and meaningful educational trajectories for students with diverse learning profiles.
